Female cyclists wanted for exercise research study

Dr Sam Shepherd is a lecturer/researcher in sport & exercise nutrition (and a keen triathlete) from Liverpool John Moores University who is currently recruiting female cyclists for an exercise research study.

He is investigating whether ingesting a blackcurrant extract can improve ‘fat burning’ during cycling.  They already know that the extract can increase fat burning in males, and are hopeful that this is also the case in females.

The study requires very little time commitment from participants; only 3 visits to the University.  As part of the study, participants will also have the opportunity to undergo an assessment of cycling economy and VO2max.

See the study poster below for more details. If you have any questions or would like more information about the study then please email Sam directly.
