It’s time to start organsing MT's participation in the Triathlon Relays and we need your help.
We looking for someone to act as the organiser / team manager.
Our plan is to set up an event page on facebook. People can either come forward as teams of four or can register their interest to participate and the team manager will assist in forming teams.
Using our shop or entry system would add 3rd party costs to the event so we’ll help put people in contact with each other but teams will be responsible for registering themselves directly with the event organsier.
The team manager role would entail being the point of contact for the event, and assisting putting teams together.

Mersey Tri at the National Club Relays
As part of the Clubs 30th Anniversary celebrations we’re planning to make the trip to Nottingham for the Club relays. We’re hoping for a HUGE Mersey Tri turnout. Info is yet to released on the event organisers website, from the British triathlon event calendar it looks like it’s pencilled in for the weekend of:
Sat 22nd /Sun 23rd August
We’ve chosen this as we feel it offers the perfect blend of sport & social. For those that have not taken part in this extravaganza or the “Glastonbury” of the triathlon world as called by the organisers, it’s not to be missed.
It’s probably an ambitious target but how good would it be to get 30 teams in our 30th anniversary!
Teams can be in any format. Those racing for honours need to be members of the club & hold personal TE race licences. This event is about much more than that though, there are categories for all. Fast, slow somewhere in the middle it doesn’t matter, it’s just great fun. Friends who are not members can race in open teams, lets try & get some old members back racing even if we have to put up with some speedos’s & crop tops!
The venue is fantastic for non-racing family and friends, they can watch the action unfold mostly within eyesight. The adjacent campsite provides handy cheap accommodation for a BBQ and post race banter. Plenty of B&B’s nearby for those who are after a bit more luxury.
The committee will be talking logistics at their next meeting but get it in your diary & spread the word. Lets make it a weekend to remember!
