Something about you that many people do not know?: I must to confess that I sweat through the eyes (well I cried like a baby) when I finished my first marathon (Madrid 2011), running my first marathon in my hometown was very emotional. All right, wearing sunglasses no one noticed, but I found an old friend who crossed the finish line a few seconds after me.

If you could tell other athletes one thing you have learned so far in your training what would it be?: Don't forget your swimsuit at home when you're going to swim!

What is your ultimate goal as an athlete?: Well, the main goal is always to enjoy want I do. If we talk about results and races, sub 3h Marathon in Berlin Marathon 2014 and maybe my first full IM distance in 2015.

Favourite Race / Course?: IM 70.3 Mallorca is the race for now. I'm not a big fan of the run course but the swim and ride circuit are great. Also Madrid Marathon, tough course, specially the last 10ks, definitely is not a PB course, but is Madrid, and you know, Madrid and Liverpool are the best cities in the world by long :-)

What's your most memorable racing moment?: Well, I could say the first time that I crossed the finish line in a 70.3 but It isn't funny. So I'm going to tell you my experience racing Crosby Aquathlon, water was cold, too cold for a spanish lad, I had a bad day swimming, I couldn't move the fingers and I didn't feel my face, at the transition area I found my mate David (Leeds Triathlon Club) fighting with his wetsuit (There's a pretty funny video of him fighting and me saying "I'm not going to run") and I decided not to run, I wasn't enjoying but then I thought "come on man, you're a "macho" and are only 5k", was when my mate beated his wetsuit and he started to run when I decided to run after him, the 5k after the horrible swim wasn't that bad, after all I ran a decent 5k

Any unusual race day routines or superstitions?: I haven't got any ritual.

What race / event / ride is on your bucket list?: Many of them. I love races and travel, so basically, all the races in cool places are in my bucket list.
